Christian Lacroix style is unique, exuberant, colorful and baroque.
At a young age he began sketching historical costumes and fashions. Lacroix graduated from high school in 1969 and moved to Montpellier, to study Art History at the University of Montpellier. In 1971, he enrolled at the Sorbonne in Paris.In 1987 his fashion house was launched and the reviews were ecstatic.Christian Lacroix's return to couture in 2007 was rapturously received. He has stores in New York, Paris, Monaco, Dallas, Bahrain - and he is increasingly working in theatre design as well as fashion.The Hispanic and “Arlésiennes” inspirations, colors, innovative forms borrowed from theatrical make a sensation and are a breath of freshness in the fashion circles.
