Alexander Wang is creative director of the eponymous label he launched in 2005, aged 21.Wang’s foray into fashion began after he dropped out of the Parsons School of Design in 2004 to start his own label.Wang debuted his first runway collection for Autumn/Winter 2007 at New York Fashion Week.Alexander Wang now produces both men’s and women’s collections, diffusion line T by Alexander Wang for men and women, footwear, and accessories. He gets inspiration on his walk to work or in the subway or whenever he sees something out of context. He claims that he is the one who understands his brand the most.
